Derby Festivities!!

The past 2 weeks have been filled with lots of Derby festivities going on in Louisville. While we were not able to do many, we still were able to enjoy a few. Thunder over Louisville kicked off the start of Derby, so we took the kids to watch the air show. Max loved it, especially since Grandpa Bernie and Uncle Joel joined us. The week leading up to Derby Max got sick with Hand, Foot, Mouth virus. Fever, rash, sore throat, blisters in his mouth, arms, hands, feet. Molly was next on Tuesday, and I followed quickly behind her. I was miserable, so I could only imagine how the kids felt!
The weather was nasty Derby day, however the rain stopped long enough for Damon and I to walk into the track and the sun was shining when we left. We were fortunate enough to have covered seats, so we did not get rained on all day. We had a great day with family and 2 of our friends, Austin and Tara. Grandpa Bernie and Grandma Lee were nice enough to watch Max and Molly the whole day.
Max is talking up a storm, saying more words every week. We can't wait for him to start forming sentences. He loves cars, firetrucks, ambulances, basically anything that has a siren. His favorite thing to do right now is to swing on his swing set, color, slide at the playground and to walk to Graeters for ice cream.
Molly is jabbering all day long, trying to sit on her own, eats like a pig and loves watching her big brother play. They are both growing up too fast!
