Back in Business

We have had a busy month full of power outages, gas leaks, basement remodel, painting, colds, and how could we forget the helmet! Max is really learning to entertain himself for longer periods of time now, which is nice. He loves to babble, drool, play with all his toys, especially the ones he can put in his mouth, bounce in his new bouncy swing, watch his Baby Einstein video, roll over, and eat. He is eating rice cereal and fruit twice a day. At his 6 month checkup he weighed 13 lbs 9.5 oz and is 24 inches long. Except for a snotty nose he is doing great. The doctor thinks he is currently teething and will probably start to crawl soon since he is so strong. He doesn't mind his helmet even though he has to wear it for 23 hrs a day. We think he is still super cute even with the helmet on!

Homeless Again!

We have been kicked out of our house again!! This time it is due to a gas leak in our basement, not a power outage. I cannot post new pictures yet b/c I do not have my camera cord to download photos. Hopefully we will be back up and running tonight!

Max loves to wear hats

For the record, I did not purchase the UL hat, it was given to Max as a gift from Joan, Tom, Max and Katie.

Max's new summer hat!

Yummy!

Over the past few weeks Max has started to eat rice cereal in the mornings and sometimes at night. He did not like it at first, but now that he has gotten use to the idea of a spoon, he really likes it. Next up, baby food!

Busy December

December was very hectic in our household. Max went to his 4 month check up and is doing great. He weighed in at 12lbs, and was 23 inches long. We have come a long way since he was born at 5 lbs 9oz! He is holding his head up great, loves to play in his exersaucer, and has started eating rice cereal. Or should we say, tastes it, makes a disgusting face, and then spits half of it out. He also rolled over a few times when he was doing tummy time. He screamed when he met Santa, could care less about his new toys, but loved the wrapping paper, and has enjoyed some walks outside when the weather was warmer. He is talking a lot more and has to have something in his mouth at all times. We had Sara, Ian, Lucy and Harper stay with us for a few days after Christmas and Harper and Max were baptized together. They both were great and we had a nice party afterwards for them, with some yummy cake!

Mr. Independent

I was feeding Max last night and he decided to take control and hold his own bottle. He became very feisty, moved my hands away from the bottle and put his hands on it. What's next? Dressing himself? Possibly changing his own diaper...
