Busy December

December was very hectic in our household. Max went to his 4 month check up and is doing great. He weighed in at 12lbs, and was 23 inches long. We have come a long way since he was born at 5 lbs 9oz! He is holding his head up great, loves to play in his exersaucer, and has started eating rice cereal. Or should we say, tastes it, makes a disgusting face, and then spits half of it out. He also rolled over a few times when he was doing tummy time. He screamed when he met Santa, could care less about his new toys, but loved the wrapping paper, and has enjoyed some walks outside when the weather was warmer. He is talking a lot more and has to have something in his mouth at all times. We had Sara, Ian, Lucy and Harper stay with us for a few days after Christmas and Harper and Max were baptized together. They both were great and we had a nice party afterwards for them, with some yummy cake!

Mr. Independent

I was feeding Max last night and he decided to take control and hold his own bottle. He became very feisty, moved my hands away from the bottle and put his hands on it. What's next? Dressing himself? Possibly changing his own diaper...

Playtime

Max is learning to put anything and everything in his mouth. Bibs, hands, toys, blankets etc.....His neck is getting stronger, but he still hates tummy time. He is laughing alot and eating alot. He goes to his 4 month check up on Dec 19, so we will see how much this piglet weighs!

Thanksgiving Day

We had a nice Thanksgiving weekend, very low key, but just what we wanted. Damon, Max and I headed to mama's house for Turkey and pie and then were all in bed by 8pm. Max is sporting his jeans and rugby shirt. He looked very handsome and loved seeing all the Legel's. My dad says he doesn't understand why Max doesn't fall face first into the floor during tummy time, because his head is so large. My son does have a large noggin. His body is just a bit slow in catching up to the size of his head.

Today Max and I had a playdate with Lisa, Scarlett, and Luke. Luke was born one month after Max and is so cute! Can you believe all the hair he has?? He is 2 months old and has already had a haircut. I don't think they paid attention to each other, they were more interested in eating and sleeping. We look forward to many more playdates with them!

It's Cold Outside!!

Now that the weather has officially turned cold, Max and I are stuck inside. I try my best to entertain him during the day, but I know by the time 6pm rolls around he is sick and tired of looking at me and hearing my voice. He is cooing alot, sucking on his hands, blowing spit bubbles, and is fascinated with lights and mirrors. His neck is getting stronger everyday and his appetite is increasing as well. He still eats every 3 hrs and is gaining weight everyday, which means he is able to wear his new jeans now, although in these pictures they look huge on him. I also bought him a new pacifier that has a shirt clip, so Damon and I don't have to search for the pacifier everytime Max spits it out. He still loves his baths and recently started to kick and splash in the water, laughing as he does this. Damon still manages to get poop all over him when he changes Max's dirty diapers and Max managed to pee all over pop's and grandma's curio cabinet the other night. All you can do is laugh!
