Trip to the Zoo

Sara and Taylor gave me my birthday present early, a Zoo membership. The weather was 75 degrees and sunny today, so we headed out to see the monkeys, gorillas and baby elephant, Scotty. Max was a little unsure of what was going on, but he loved the orangutans, indoor aquarium, and the baby giraffe. He had a great time riding in his stroller, watching all the kids run around, and of course eating lunch. He fell asleep before we even got out of the parking lot.

March Madness!

We recently flew to Alexandria, VA to visit Sara, Ian, Lucy, and Harper. This was Max's first plane ride and he had a blast on the plane. He had his own seat, liked to look out the window, made funny faces when the plane landed, and slept. We had a great trip, even though it went by way to quick. Lucy talks nonstop, Harper doesn't stop crawling or pulling up on things, and Max loved to watch both of them play. Max is also sitting up better on his own, although if you aren't sitting with him he plunges head first into the carpet (good thing he is wearing a helmet!) he talks non stop and loves to say da da da, and he loves to eat oatmeal, sweet potatoes, pears, and applesauce. It has already been a month since Max started wearing his helmet and his is doing great with it. He never fusses when we put it on, and I can already tell that it's working. 2 more months to go!
